Course Description

This course will teach you how to break down the photo into values and tones to create a free, less rigid painting style by seeing the positive and negative forms. I will teach you how to draw the figure correctly and in proportion. We will then use diverse techniques week to week to capture the values and subtle nuances necessary to create volume with the human form. Through this impressionistic course, you will learn the importance of colors and tones and black and white values. This will be a fun, fulfilling step-by-step class creating beautiful one-of-a-kind works of art, as unique as the individual who creates them. This course is specially designed for all mediums Charcoal, Pencil, Ink, Pastels, Oils and Acrylics. You choose your preferred materials I will teach you the human form. This course is designed for all artistic levels. You will receive a video tape of each class after it is finished to watch at your leisure. I will email references for all classes. This course is non-refundable and no makeups are offered at this time.
