Course Description
This is a new, exclusive online oil painting course based off a theme this is one of several in a series throughout the year, ranging from tropical islands to clouds, portraits to night time scenes, and even floral arrangements. This course covers challenging yet fun painting techniques. Through this course, you will learn the color theory behind the subtle nuances of tones, details applied in painting and diverse textures throughout the entire subject matter. I will select photos and paintings of seashells from our shores and we will study their shapes, colors and textures. You will be learning the art of painting the nuances of light and the diversity with the subject matter. I will guide and teach you specific techniques on how to successfully master the tones and subtle shifts in light that are vital for success. Painting techniques are unique in their application and based on the texture of the specific layering of fat over lean to create actual and physical texture on your canvas. This will be a fun and fulfilling step-by-step class creating 5x7 or 8x10 oil painting studies. This is a rewarding course that will enhance your painting experience. This course is designed for all artistic levels. You will receive a video tape of each class after it is finished to watch at your leisure. I will email references for all classes.
